News: Your New Staff Members

Hey everyone! I’m so sorry that it took this long for me to finally update the blog and decide the winners of the staff challenge, but later is better than not at all, am I right? Yeah, I hope I am.

Anyway, I’ll make this short and sweet: I have chosen two winners, not one! Shortly, I will be posting their submissions on the blog. If you see your graphics up on the page, it means you’re in! Congratulations, and welcome to Peace Love Percy!

For the two winners, please bear with me and wait patiently (yet again) for the email I will send you containing all the information you’ll need to be a Peace Love Percy moderator (e.g. graphic guidelines, tagging guidelines, email, password, etc.) I’m a semi-busy person, what with graduation rolling over my horizons and college breaking at the seams, so it could take a while to write down such a long email.

Hopefully by next week you’ll get the email. But don’t worry, if your graphics are up, you’re already part of the team! I will officially announce your names on the blog and add you on the staff list when I send you the confirmation email.

For all the others who didn’t win, don’t worry about it! There’s always another contest to look forward to in the future.

Attention all Peace Love Percy artsy-fartsy followers! Are you a huge Percy Jackson fan? Are you Photoshop-savvy? If you fit into both of those, then you should join this Graphic Contest and have a chance to be part of the Peace Love Percy team!

Rules of the contest:

• Use any three quotes that you like from The Lost Hero to make three different graphics.
• You may use any editing software at your disposal (e.g. Photoshop, Corel Draw, Sierra, Picnik, etc.)
• You must have “peacelovepercy.tumblr.com” written somewhere within each of the pictures.
• You must reblog this post. (So we can keep track of those who are joining the contest and, at the same time, spread the news.)
• Leave us a message in our Ask box with your name (just your first name is fine), your email (for contacting purposes; it won’t be published), and a short word about why you want to join the team!
• Finally, submit all three of your graphics to the Submissions section with the quote references (e.g. the page(s) where the quote can be found) written as the captions.

The graphics submitted for the contest will not be published. Only the submitted graphics of the winner will be published on the site on the day he/she is decided as the winner. In case it hasn’t been made clear enough, the winner gets to be officially a part of the Peace Love Percy team.

All graphics must be submitted by December 28, 2010. The winner will be decided the following week, so check back! Good luck, demigods!
